Born July 26, 1945, in Mgboh, Rumuche-Emohua LGA, HRM Eze Barr. Godspower Woke Onuekwa is a legal practitioner, politician, and chartered insurer. Academically, he completed his Standard Six at St. Luke's Anglican Church Ogbogoro-Ogbakiri (1958), graduated from Holy Ghost Commercial School Aba (1966), obtained National Diploma in Business Studies with Distinction from St. John's College of Further Education, Manchester, England, and the Associate Chartered Insurance Institute ACII (London) by Examination from Glasgow College of Technology (now Glasgow University). He entered Rivers State University of Science and Technology (now RSU) in 1989, obtained LLB Hons in Law 2nd Class Upper (1995), was called to the Bar (1997), obtained Masters of Law LLM (1998), and Ph.D in Law from the same University (2021). He also completed a management course at Zambia Business School in Lusaka.

Traditionally, he is a Knight of St. Christopher, Justice of Peace, recently honoured by the United Nations as Ambassador of Peace, and was elected Paramount Ruler/Nne-Nweli Emohua Mgboh III on January 29, 2022. He served as President General of Ogbakor Ikwerre Cultural Organization Worldwide from December 2023 till date.

His contributions to Ogbakor Ikwerre and the Ikwerre nation have been transformative. He was former Agency Manager in Riv Bank Insurance Company Ltd. (1972-1975 and 1980-1983). In 1982, he formed Bellcrest Insurance Brokers Limited, the first indigenous insurance brokerage firm with Head Office in Rivers State. He is Chairman and CEO of Bellcrest Insurance Brokers Limited and Head of Chambers, Chief G.W. Onuekwa and Co. Law Chambers. He is one of the founders of Okpo Club of Nigeria (Ikwerre Lawyers) and one of the founders of Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Isiokpo Branch. He was President of Ikwerre Development Association (IDA) from 2003 to 2007. He was 2nd Vice President and 1st Vice President respectively of Ogbakor Ikwerre Cultural Organization Worldwide before being massively elected President-General in December 2023. His impressive astute, inclusive, innovative and friendly administration has taken Ogbakor Ikwerre to more enviable heights with enhanced membership, visibility, unity, cohesion and identity. In his community, he assisted in the employment and empowerment of many people from Emohua, pioneered the formation of "Oganuruhu Emohua" which fought for community development, and spent his personal resources to ensure that Emohua Hospital and Secondary School were built by the State Government. He was instrumental to the return of peace in Emohua in 1980 and has been the Beacon of Peace in Ikwerre land till date.
